Katie Logan
Worship Director
Katie first joined Sycamore Tree UMC in 2003 and served in the children’s, youth ministry and/or worship ministries for the next 12 years. After a brief time away, she returned in 2018 and in May 2021 started serving as part time worship director.
Her favorite thing about Sycamore Tree is the authenticity of its people and the opportunity to be part of a church family with a desire for spiritual growth and who seek to love each other and the surrounding community well. She loves worship and especially the worship team of S.T. and is daily blessed by the personalities, talents, gifts, and passions God has put together within His church to help lead people in worship.
Katie works full-time for Crown Financial Ministries. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her two children and when she has the chance - running, kayaking, biking, hiking … all things outdoors.

Kristy Brewer
Children's Director
Kristy and her family began attending Sycamore Tree in 2015 and joined the church in 2016. Sycamore Tree provided a place for both of her children to be actively involved in the church through the Zack’s Treehouse, the children’s ministry, and the youth ministry.
Kristy taught in Zack’s Treehouse for several years as well as worked with the children’s director for several years to learn about the children and their families. She loves the time that she spends with the children. Her goal is to bring the scripture and the Bible to life and present it in such a way that they understand. Kristy loves the families and the family environment that STUMC brings to all that enter the doors. Her desire is to bring that love of the church to all that visit with STUMC in hopes to make the church part of their family.
Kristy is a principal in the Blount County School system. She has been a teacher and administrator with BCS for 29 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching her son play baseball, and crafting.
